Jordan has been a benchmark for defining a caliber of a player of any game. Former teammate and four-time champion John Salley made some interesting claims about MJ in a recent interview. He described how Jordan himself, being seen as a benchmark, got the honor of getting called the Michael Jackson of the sports. Regarded as the greatest pop star by many, Jackson revolutionized the genre of pop. He also got the nickname King of Pop for his immeasurable contribution to the world of music. In a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe, John Salley revealed used to “levitate” and stole the spotlight wherever he went. He further added that Jordan is the benchmark for every sport. Salley recalled one of his friends wanted to meet Beyonce at an event in New York where Michael Jackson was also present. After Salley introduced his friend to Beyonce, she could not care less and stated her intention to meet Jackson. Salley added he felt different once he felt Jackson’s presence. He , “Like, he[Michael Jackson] literally changed the molecules of the room. It seemed he wanted to use Michael Jackson as the benchmark to define the mettle of Jordan in sports. There are many great players whose name comes up in the list of the best players of the game. But the name Jordan literally comes to everyone’s mind during the discussion of the greatest of the game.
