10 Unresolved Mysteries & Plot Holes Dark Pictures Anthology Little Hope Left Hanging

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope introduces players to new mysteries to solve, though a few story threads were left hanging and unresolved. Little Hope is the next entry in The Dark Pictures Anthology. Like the episode before it, Man of Medan, Little Hope shares a lot of similar story traits. Traits that some may be confused by. This is all to say the game leaves a lot up to the player to deduce for themselves because there are a lot of unanswered questions and/or things that . The following riddles are based on the good ending of the game which one can assume is the canon version Supermassive Games wants to go with. And as if it needed to be said, these entries will be filled with heavy story spoilers, so finish Little Hope before diving in. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

The Cop And The Barricade

There are a few things that in the beginning of the game. First of all, what did that police officer block off? If he is local, then he surely knows going through Little Hope can be complicated since there are dilapidated bits in the road. This is seemingly done to make players think the officer is leading them there and blocking it off on purpose. Also, why didn’t he say anything about the lack of passengers?

Andrew Anthony Outside The Bus

When the bus crashes one would assume Anthony would be either in his driver seat, strapped in, or at least somewhere still on the bus. For some reason, he is outside of it by the middle of the bus. If his friends weren’t imaginary, one could assume they pulled him out then let him rest there, but there is no one else in the bus. How did he get there then? He probably just passed out while walking out of the crash, but it still .

Two Places At Once

As it was just previously mentioned, the big shocker in the ending shows that John, Angela, Daniel, and Taylor were all in Anthony’s head as he was pretending to be a younger person, Andrew. However, there are multiple instances where the party splits up so how could he be in two places at once then? One could possibly assume he wasn’t at every place shown in the game but then which places did he actually go to and not go to?

Were The Witch Trials Real

Anthony has a big imagination. That’s a fact. However, was it so big that he could both conjure his friends and pretend the 1692 Witch Trials were going on in the present? That is to say is everything that happens in the game all imaginary, or did those flashbacks really happen? It’s never really explained. The easy answer is that it is all in his head but that is too hard to believe and .

Megan s Friend

Part of the reason why players should believe the Witch Trial flashbacks are real is because there is noted magic prior to this. In 1972 a demon appears before Megan by her side. Of course this may also just be in her head. Even though they aren’t related the game might try to be be saying that seeing illusions is genetic. That’s only if the demon isn’t real and they are related by blood, which they aren’t. So it is either a or is indeed establishing real magic.

The Key

There’s another curious bit in 1972 regarding Megan. When the other mother is trying to leave the bathroom, Megan is shown with a key, presumably the one that locked her mom in the room thus leading to her death in the fire. When Anthony goes back to the burned wreckage in the end, players can find that same key hiding in the clock. There are two sides of debate here. One, that key is for the clock. Two, this is proof Megan hid the key after locking her mom in the bathroom. Which theory ?

What s The Deal With Vince

There are too many questions about Vince that . First of all, is he living in Little Hope by himself? If that’s the case then where is he living? And how does he get groceries since the town is closed and he seems to only own a bike? For that matter why doesn’t he have a longer conversation with Anthony in the bar? Maybe at first he doesn’t recognize him in the dark bar but if so then how does he suddenly recognize him later on outside in the dark? Also, death is hard, but decades later he never forgot or forgave Tanya’s death or move out of Little Hope?

The Fog

Is the fog in Anthony’s head or was the town actually forcing him to face his childhood home? Again, this boils down to the game showing that it has magic or not, like with Megan’s demon, or the time travel bits in 1692. So if those two things were real then the fog probably is too. If they aren’t, then the fog is in Anthony’s mind. It’s another one of those unexplained things up for debate.

Andrew Anthony s Condition

Going back to Anthony’s condition, has this been happening since 1972, or did getting close to Little Hope trigger some kind of trauma? It would be interesting to see if he has some kind of medical condition which begs the question as to why he is allowed to drive a public bus if he is crazy. Maybe he can hide it well. Some people can live with the condition so it stands to reason that maybe Anthony can too.

Photo Flashes

This part can be blamed on Little Hope being a video game and can also be docked for the previous entry. When characters pick up photographs they can see a premonition of the future. This does not exhibit any sort of reaction from the cast but why not? The easy answer is because it’s a mechanic to enhance the gameplay and not something one can assume characters actually see. It’s best to shrug the shoulders for this, but it was still worth mentioning.
