How AARP Helps in Every State

AARP is about living your best life as you age, wherever you are. And with 38 million members, you are in a lot of places. We’re there with you. Even as we fight for change at a national level, our strength and passion is being right in your neighborhood. That’s where you’ll find AARP state offices aiding caregivers, teaching workers new skills, helping you file taxes, coordinating volunteers and sometimes just throwing a good party. Our is why AARP goes snowshoeing in Vermont, offers seminars in the Navajo language in New Mexico, surfs in Puerto Rico and retrains workers in Connecticut. Mostly, though, it is your doing: 60,000 volunteers buttonhole state legislators, tutor first graders, teach courses and check on isolated neighbors. Here’s a small sampling of what we do together to help Americans 50-plus live their best lives.
